Understanding OmniPATHs Main Navigation
Overview
The OmniPATH interface is designed to give you quick access to all key procurement and payment functions. This guide walks you through the main navigation bar and explains what each section does.
The main navigation bar
Located at the top of your screen, the main navigation provides access to seven core areas of the platform:
1. Processing
Purpose: Your main dashboard for measuring your process effectiveness
The Processing view is your default landing page and provides:
- Backlog view: See total invoices and credits awaiting processing
- Processing overview: Timeline control showing workload across Week (W), Month (M), Quarter (Q), and Financial Year (FY)
- Dashboard cards: Key metrics and analysis at a glance
- Site breakdown: Spending and activity by location
- Supplier analysis: Top suppliers and spending patterns
- Category insights: Spending by purchase category
- Workflow charts: Visual representation of processing, approvals, payments and AP sync status to unearth bottlenecks
When to use: Start here each day to see your workload, check processing status and get an overview of your procurement activity.
2. Orders
Purpose: Create and manage purchase requests and orders
The Orders section allows you to:
- Create new purchase requests
- Create new purchase orders
- View all active purchase orders
- Send orders directly to Suppliers
- Track order status and delivery
- Manage order approvals
- Search and filter orders by various criteria
When to use: Use this section when creating new purchase requests, tracking orders or reviewing order history.
3. Purchases
Purpose: View and manage all purchases and invoices
The Purchases section is where you:
- Upload invoices manually (using the '+' button)
- View all invoices received
- Review invoice details and extracted data
- Edit invoice information
- 2 and 3-way matching - Invoice to Orders and Delivery Notes
- Export purchase data
- Filter by date, supplier, amount or status
- Access purchase history and reports
When to use: Use this when uploading new invoices, reviewing past purchases or preparing exports to your accounting system.
4. Approvals
Purpose: Review and approve pending requests
The Approvals section shows:
- Pending approval requests
- Items awaiting your authorisation
- Approval workflow status
- Historical approval decisions
- Delegation options when you're unavailable
- Approval stats showing backlog across Orders, Approvals and new Suppliers
When to use: Check this regularly if you're an approver to authorise pending purchases and keep workflows moving.
5. Payments
Purpose: Manage supplier payments
The Payments section enables you to:
- Execute supplier payments
- View payment status (paid vs. unpaid)
- Process payment batches
- Track payment history
- Manage payment terms and schedules
- View payment trends over time
- Update accounting records with payment timestamps
When to use: Finance teams use this to process payments, schedule disbursements and track payment status.
6. Analysis
Purpose: Access detailed reports and insights
The Analysis section provides:
- System performance metrics, KPIs and ROI
- Supplier Spending analysis
- Trend visualisations over time
When to use: Use this for strategic decision-making, identifying cost-saving opportunities and generating reports for stakeholders.
7. Ask LEDGE
Purpose: Your #1 Inteligence Agent
LEDGE is your AI assistant that can:
- Answer questions about your data
- Provide intelligent insights
- Help with procurement decisions
- Explain spending patterns
- Suggest optimisation opportunities
When to use: Anytime you need quick answers, insights or help understanding your Organisations data.
Right-Side Navigation
On the far right of the navigation bar, you'll find additional tools:
Suppliers
Purpose: Access your supplier network
- View all suppliers
- Add new suppliers
- Edit supplier details
- Run supplier verification
- View supplier spending stats
- View product history and purchase trends
Audit Timeline
Purpose: Complete audit trail of all activities
- Track all system changes
- View user activity history
- Monitor document modifications
- Maintain compliance records
Actions Drawer
Purpose: Stay updated on important events
- Pending approvals
- Processing alerts
- First-time supplier alerts
- System notifications
- Team mentions
User Menu
Purpose: Access account settings and organization controls
- Switch between organisations
- Update profile settings
- Log out
Settings
Purpose: Configure system settings
- Organisation settings
- User and role management
- Gl Coding and Categorisation
- Integration settings (Inbound/Outbound)
- Approval configuration
